Summer Jazz Workshop

This unique four-day experience will include instruction and direction from some of the top professional jazz performers in the region. The week will include clinics by special guests, specific instrument sectionals, music entrepreneurship discussions, improvisation and theory classes and tons of time to create and play with your fellow musicians. All students will be pushed to grow to their personal "next" level. The workshop will conclude with all groups preparing a set of music and performing at The Union to a public audience on Thursday, July 11th at 7pm.

Summer Jazz Workshop Program Information

For all musicians ages 13-Adult with intermediate level of jazz experience. Audition video required - performing over a jazz standard of your choosing.

For beginners, we ask that you consider our JazzStart Program.

There is a limit of 18 students available for this camp, and we can only accept three drummers, bassists, pianists and guitarists - apply early to reserve a spot!

Jazz & Creative Institute will be opening its doors from July 8-11 for their "Summer Jazz Workshop", a four-day workshop that will dive deep into creative concepts, improvisational technique and small group jazz playing. All instruments are welcome to join, but we do ask that those applying have a basic to intermediate level of jazz experience. For beginners, we ask that you consider our JazzStart Program.
